biosurfit and IngeniArs take point-of-care diagnostics to space with project approved by the European Space Agency
The European Space Agency (ESA) has approved the Artificial Intelligence Assisted Diagnostic Platform project, developed in collaboration between biosurfit and the Italian company IngeniArs.
Launched in October 2025, project aims to adapt the biosurfit spinit® system, enhanced with artificial intelligence, to be used aboard the International Space Station (ISS).
This innovative platform will enable real-time physiological monitoring of astronauts during space missions, providing valuable insights into the human body’s adaptation to microgravity and space environments.
By integrating point-of-care technology with AI, the project represents a significant step toward the future of space health management, allowing for more proactive and data-driven approaches to astronaut care.
With this achievement, biosurfit reinforces its commitment to scientific innovation, pushing the boundaries of diagnostic technology from Earth to orbit — and beyond.
