The combination of these 4 parameters over time: C-reactive protein, white blood cell count, oximetry (blood oxygen level assessment) and temperature, together with symptoms presented by a person, can alert to an inflammatory process or to an infection (bacterial or viral). With this, it is possible to obtain a global assessment of health status at any time in case of infection by the virus or not. These results should always be evaluated by a doctor.
To perform the two tests of the spinit® platform, C-reactive protein (spinit® CRP) and leucogram (spinit® BC), it is only necessary to prick a finger from which a small drop of blood is taken for both tests.
In the assessment of the level of oxygen in the blood, an oximeter is used, which is a small device that is placed on the finger and allows to check the oxygenation status of the blood.
For the measurement of the temperature a digital thermometer is used to measures the body temperature without direct contact.
