The saliva antigen test is a less invasive alternative for screening for COVID-19 but with less sensitivity than the standard diagnostic method, RT-PCR. This test is considered a screening test and its result is not communicated to Sinave.
TRAg may not detect infected patients in the early asymptomatic stage and in cases of mild infection. In both cases, the patient may be able to infect other people. In this case, the need to perform a second test using the PCR method should be considered if the result is negative.
